#HalalCertified: Sizzling Palace Restaurant Review

We usually hear the word “Halal” when going to restaurants or buying food. But what does it mean?

Halal is an Arabic term which means permissible. Claiming to be halal means that the product you sell is permissible according to the rules of Islam.

But halal foods/restaurants are not only for Muslims. Most Christians also love to dine in these restaurants.

One of the few Halal-certified restaurants in the country is the Sizzling Palace in Isetan Recto in Manila. You might hear a lot who claim to serve Halal foods but only a few are certified.

THE FOOD

Besides Arabic and Turkish cuisines, Sizzling Palace also serves Filipino food. They have a wide variety of fusion foods you can choose from.

We recommend you try their biryani meals specifically the chicken. It is flavorful and the meat is tender. The bulalo, relyenong bangus, falafel, and humus is also good.

The flavor of the foods in Sizzling Palace makes them unique from others. As we know, Arabic foods have strong flavors that sometimes overwhelm our Filipino tastebud. But with Sizzling Palace, the Arabic flavor stays but it was balanced.

THE AMBIANCE

If you're looking for a unique dining experience, Sizzling Palace is the place to go. The ambiance of the resto is made up of retro/pop culture-inspired memorabilia and antiques, making it feel like you've stepped into a time machine.
